IMAGES REQUIREMENTS, ENTRY FEES, JUDGING

No Watermarks. Saved as JPEG or JPG. Resolution of 72 dpi. Grayscale or RGB profile. Layers must be flattened. Digital file should not exceed 2 MB. Longest dimension should not exceed 1200 pixels, with a minimum size of 200 pixels. Participants must also pay the entry fee(s) and complete the submission form in order to be considered for the competition. Entry fees are EUR 30 for up to 2 images or if you want EUR 50 for up to 5 images. Bank details in France are provided by the organizer after receiving the application from you. The Competition consists of a juried assessment based on the following criteria (Judging Criteria): 1). Creativity, 2). Artistic skill or Photographic quality and including movies and animation. JUDGING PROCESS: the jury, who will score all the entries, will score each image between 1 and 5 for the first round. The judging process will be blind. No names or any kind of information will be given to the juror. The 1 scores will be added to produce a final score out of 5. The highest scoring images will then go through a second round to be re-scored between 1 and 7 by the juror on the panel, and the highest scoring image after this round will be deemed the first place winner. In the case of a tie the scores from the first round will be added to the scores of the second round. The Image with the highest overall score will be deemed the winner. In the event that images are still tied at the end of the judging process, those images will be re-judged by a further independent judging panel to produce the winner. Results of the competition: the contestant or the winner of the competition will be notified by email on the final day of the competition. Decisions of the juror are final and binding. GENERAL CONDITIONS:
entrants agree that this competition shall be subject to and governed by the laws of France and the forum for any dispute shall be in France. To the extent permitted by law, the right to litigate, to seek injunctive relief or to make any other recourse to judicial or any other procedure in case of disputes or claims resulting from or on connection with this competition are hereby excluded and any entrant expressly waives any and all such rights.
By entering, contestant also agree: 1). to be bound by these official rules; 2). that the decisions of the Jurors are final and binding with respect to all matters relating to the competition; and (c) if the entrant wins that organizer may use the winning photographs and each winners name, photograph, likeness, and (or) voice in any publicity or advertising relating to the competition or future promotions without compensation or approval.
All federal, provincial, territorial, and local taxes, fees and surcharges and taxes (whether foreign or domestic, and including income, sales, and import taxes) on prizes are the sole responsibility of the prizewinners. In the event that the selected winner(s) of any prize is/are ineligible, cannot be traced or does or do not respond within ten (10) days to a winner notification as required by the ''competition Prizes'' rules above, or refuses the prize, the prize will be forfeited and organizer, in its sole discretion, may choose whether to award the prize to another entrant.
Organizer reserves the right to verify the validity and originality of any entry and (or) entrant (including an entrant's identity and address) and to disqualify any entrant who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these official rules or who tampers with the entry process. Failure by the site to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.
You warrant and represent, in respect of each entry submitted by you (application), as follows:
1. You are the sole owner and author of each application.
2. You have the right to make your entry available to the competition.
3. Each entry does not contain personally identifiable information about you or any other person(s).
4. Each Entry does not contain any infringing, threatening, false, misleading, abusive, harassing, libelous, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, scandalous, inflammatory, pornographic or profane content.
5. Each entry does not contain any material that could constitute or encourage conduct which would be considered a criminal offense, give rise to civil liability, or otherwise violate any law.
6. Each entry does not infringe upon the copyrights, trademarks, contract rights, or any other intellectual property rights of any third person or entity, or violate any person's rights of privacy or publicity, and your entry does not include:
- trademarks owned by third parties.
- copyrighted materials owned by third parties (including movie dialogue or musical compositions).
- names, likenesses, voices or other characteristics identifying celebrities or other public figures, living or dead.
7. Entries which contain any commercial content that promotes any product or service other than that of organizer.
You agree to fully indemnify organizer in respect of all royalties, fees and any other monies owing to any person by reason of Your breaching any of the foregoing. You confirm that each person depicted in the entry has granted permission to be portrayed as shown. Organizer recognizes you, the author of the image, retain full ownership of the copyright in each entry. The full name of each entrant whose work is selected as a winner or finalist will be published online. All entrants understand that any image submitted to the competition may be used by organizer, and its Event Partners, for marketing and promotional purposes of the event only.
You agree to participate in related publicity and to the use of your name and likeness for the purposes of advertising, promotion and publicity without additional compensation. You hereby grant IASCA a non-exclusive license in each Entry throughout the world in all media for any use connected to the promotion of the competition, including, but not limited too: 1). judging the competition. 2). displaying the winning entries and runners up at public exhibitions promoting IASCA and organized by IASCA. 3). inclusion within the website, an competition's book, magazine or similar. 4). inclusion within any materials in the promotion of the competition. 5). sub-licensing the entries to the press for reproduction in connection with the competition. 6). allowing viewers of the website to view images on a computer screen, mobile telephone and store such pages in electronic form on disk or on a mobile telephone (but not on any server or other storage device connected to a network) for their personal, non-commercial use only. IASCA assumes no responsibility for any incorrect, inaccurate or incomplete information, whether caused by website users or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the competition, and IASCA assumes no responsibility for technical, hardware or software failure of any kind, for lost network connections, garbled computer transmissions, other problems or technical malfunctions with regard to the competition.
IASCA assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, corruption, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to or alteration of entries. IASCA is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers, computer equipment, software, failure of any e-mail addressed to IASCA on account of technical problems, human error or traffic congestion on the internet or any website, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to Your or any other person's computer related to or resulting from participation or downloading any materials in the competition. If for any reason a contestant's entry cannot be viewed or is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer viruses, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud or technical failures, IASCA assumes no responsibility. In no event will IASCA, its parents, affiliates, Event Partners, its advertising or promotion agencies, or its officers, directors, employees, shareholders, representatives or agents be responsible or liable for any damages or losses of any kind, including direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special or punitive damages arising out of any contestant's access to and use of the website. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, everything on the website is provided ''as is'', without warranty of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to, the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for purpose or use or non-infringement. You acknowledge that IASCA and its event partners assume no responsibility and are not liable for any image misuse.
RIGHT TO CANCEL OR SUSPEND COMPETITION:
If for any reason the competition is not capable of running as planned, due to infection by computer virus, bugs, worms, Trojan horses, denial of service attacks, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of the Site that corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this competition, IASCA reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual(s) who tamper with the entry process, and/or to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend the competition. If IASCA elects to cancel or terminate the competition, IASCA will not retain any rights in the submitted photographs, and will return the fees submitted with each entry.
